The Nikwax BaseWash 300ml Cleaner is a specialised deodorising cleaner and conditioner which works to remove odours while accelerating drying and enhancing the cooling effect of base layers. Synthetic base layers are designed to be worn next to the skin, providing user comfort by maintaining body temperature and controlling moisture. The fabrics used are highly wicking (they will spread moisture out over a large area), fast drying and breathable. It is therefore essential to maintain these properties when caring for base layers.

Synthetic sports clothes are fantastic for regulating your temperature and controlling body moisture, but over time, a buildup of bacteria and body oils can lead to them smelling. To keep activewear functioning properly, it is essential to take care when washing. Using conventional household detergents or fabric softeners can impair the wicking properties of the fabric by causing it to retain moisture. This results in reduced wicking capabilities and slower drying of the fabric. Additionally, odours will not be adequately removed; instead, they are masked by perfumes, which will fail quickly, leaving you with smelly clothes!

Nikwax BaseWash 300ml Cleaner How to use:

IMPORTANT: Shake well before use. Follow care label instructions. Do not use fabric softener. Do not use on waterproof clothing. Use undiluted Nikwax BaseWash® to treat stubborn stains before washing.

• Place item(s) in washing machine.
• Add 50ml of BaseWash® to detergent dispenser.
• Wash according to care label.

Nikwax BaseWash® can also be applied by hand

IMPORTANT: Shake well before use. Follow care label instructions. Do not use fabric softener. Do not use on waterproof clothing. Wear gloves. Use undiluted Nikwax BaseWash® to treat stubborn stains before washing.

• Immerse item(s) in 7.5L of warm water.
• Add 25ml of BaseWash®.
• Agitate to mix, leave to soak for 5 minutes, then agitate thoroughly.
• Rinse with cold water until the water runs clear.

Leave your garments to dry naturally…

Air dry or tumble dry on a low setting if the care label allows.
